Community

Soccer itself can be a powerful instrument of change. It inspires belief, levels the playing field, and pushes people to achieve great things. To play soccer is to take part in something bigger than yourself, and we believe that everyone deserves an opportunity to get involved with this wonderful game. To spread soccer’s reach as far as possible, we are working to provide affordable, equitable access to the game to every corner of our community through free clinics with non-profit youth organizations, rebuilding community pitches in need of repair, and many other initiatives that help bring the game to those who may not otherwise have a chance to get involved.

A brighter future starts with impacting the young minds that will one day shape our community. To aid in this pursuit, MNUFC supports initiatives to enhance the mental health and well-being of young people through educational resources that will prepare the next generation of Minnesota’s leaders. Through the continued impact of initiatives such as food drives at Allianz Field, our Forever United Scholarship fund, and several other programs, we are actively pursuing ways that we can build a better foundation and future for the youth of the Twin Cities.

Soccer is the world’s game, played across every continent and loved by billions of people. It transcends national borders, inviting all wonderfully-unique backgrounds and cultures to take part. In the spirit of the sport we love, MNUFC is committed to bringing together fans from different ethnicities and backgrounds to enjoy the game of soccer. By celebrating different heritages throughout the season, uplifting the diverse voices of our community, and sponsoring adaptive sports teams (Unified and Power Soccer), we are proving that our impact can extend far beyond the soccer field. With our love of the game connecting us, we firmly believe that we can help create a more just and equitable world.

In all that we do, our club remains conscious of the footprint we are leaving on our planet. Throughout the design and construction of Allianz Field, we strove to be responsible environmental stewards of the site. In keeping with what was a top priority during the design and construction of Allianz Field, our club continues to focus on being responsible stewards of our stadium site, with our Green Team diverting recyclable materials away from landfills after every home match, along with many other leading sustainable practices. Throughout the year, we host tech drives to help properly recycle old devices, pumpkin drives to encourage green disposal, and various community clean-ups to help keep the Midway neighborhood beautiful. Through these programs and more, we are committed to improving the ecological health of our community.
