Minnesota United sideline reporter Jamie Watson is always getting active with the community and this week saw him heading to the Savage Public Library for an event put on by the Savage Community Reading Program on Thursday, June 14.

Watson and PK read two children’s books — Let’s Play Soccer and The Field — to the assembled crowd of parents and children, plus the former MLS star handled some rigorous questioning from the kids about the game of soccer and his career.
One of Minnesota United’s main goals as an organization has always been connecting with a diverse community and Head Librarian Marietta McLeod appreciates the team’s presence at events like these.
“The city of Savage is a very multicultural community, and soccer expands the world,” Marietta said. “When you go to Minnesota United games, everybody with a different story is there.”
