MNUFC2 announced today the club has signed forward Mubashir “Muba” Nour and defender Kisa Kiingi to MLS NEXT Pro contracts.
“We invited Muba into our MNUFC2 preseason after he impressed our staff during the open tryouts over this winter. Muba earned a contract by showcasing his work rate and his natural skill when it comes to being technically sound, his dribbling and creativity,” said MNUFC2 Head Coach Jeremy Hall. “Kisa is a versatile and athletic right back with a good ability to go up and down the field. He’s a dynamic player that will look to add another dimension to our back line,” added Hall. “I’m excited for Muba joining his hometown club and also look forward to Kisa’s contributions towards the fortitude of our team in 2025.”
Forward and Minnesota local Muba Nour joins MNUFC2 after signing a one-year contract through December 2025, with a club option for 2026. The Somali forward – who was born in Ethiopia and raised in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota – attended MNUFC2’s winter combine tryouts in January 2025 and previously competed with 18x26 Academy’s UPSL side across the past two seasons from 2023-2024.
“I’m very happy to announce my first professional contract with MNUFC2,” said Muba Nour. “I am excited for this upcoming season and can’t wait to go hard and win with my teammates.”
Kisa Kiingi joins MNUFC2 on a one-year contract through December 2025, with a club option for 2026, after playing collegiately at Cornell University for four seasons. With Cornell, he made 59 game appearances (50 starts) while notching seven goals and providing eight assists across his time with the Big Red. During his 2024 senior season, he captained the team, leading the back line in only allowing only 67 shots on goal during the season.
