Loons Line Up For The Aliveness Project

Minnesota United teamed up with The Aliveness Project on April 28th, as a part of the international fundraiser, Dining Out for Life. The event is Aliveness’ biggest and most delicious fundraiser, raising money for their work with folks living with HIV/AIDS.

“Dining Out for Life is a great fundraiser for The Aliveness Project,” said Aaron Pitchkolan, United captain, and repeat Dining Out ambassador. “It’s great meeting and chatting with new people who want to support a very special cause.”

This is the second year the team has been on board as an ambassador in one of more than 200 restaurants involved. Last year, United played a part in Dining Out for Life’s impressive $270,000 accrued throughout the day-long event. This year, the team hopes to serve more people, raise more money, and spread the word about the work The Aliveness Project is doing in the community.

“This is a unique opportunity for people to join in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Just choose one of our restaurants and enjoy your meal or meals with a group of friends — all you have to donate is your appetite!” said Aliveness Project’s Executive Director, Amy Moser.

The Aliveness Project is a Minnesota-based organization that works to empower individuals living with HIV/AIDS, through a variety of health and wellness services like hot meals, medical case management, and a food shelf. Stability in health and wellness helps individuals who have HIV/AIDS live longer and healthier lives.

Eating out has never felt so guilt-free.
