L’Étoile Du Nord

Star of the North

Minnesota United today announced the launch of its L’Étoile Du Nord (Star of the North) program, recognizing community members who embody the core values of the club. MNUFC is resilient, inclusive and dedicated and values passion, teamwork and respect and through this program hopes to highlight people making a difference behind those values at halftime of every home match this season.

“In building our club from the first team to the front office, we’ve looked for people who represent our core values,” said MNUFC CEO Chris Wright. “This program is a chance to connect with those same kinds of people in the community at large. Getting the culture right is tremendously important to us as an organization and the L’Étoile Du Nord program will be a major part of that.”

The first community member to be recognized will be former Minnesota Viking Esera Tuaolo, who will also perform the National Anthem at the home opener against the Chicago Fire on Saturday. A nine-year NFL veteran who played for the Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers in addition to the Vikings, Tuaolo currently lives in Minneapolis and is a spokesperson for Firefighter for Healing and the Hate Is Wrong Foundation.

Minnesota United opens its home campaign against the Chicago Fire on Saturday, March 17 at 1:00 p.m. at TCF Bank Stadium. Getting season tickets now guarantees your spot at Allianz Field. Tickets available at MNUFC.COM or by calling 763.4SOCCER.
