There’s nothing like hitting that fresh pow pow on a cold winter’s day, right? We’re not talking about snowboarding or skiing, though; no, we’re talking about the greatest winter sport known to mankind—boot soccer.
You must surely be thinking, “Boots? We’re not British; they’re called cleats!” A statement that, while true in most MNUFC-related situations, is, in fact, false in this case.
The annual Boot Soccer Tournament is coming back to Allianz Field, which means it’s time to get ready for the glorious struggle of passing a slippery ball across the snow-covered Great Lawn. We’ll be playing 25-minute games across several small-sided fields on Saturday, February 17. The tournament is set to go from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the Grand Casino Brew Hall open to keep participants warm and full between games. We’ll also be streaming the Loons’ preseason match against Charlotte throughout the tournament, so be sure to stop in and get a preview before the 2024 season starts.
Team registration is just $275 and includes 10 tickets to MNUFC’s home opener against the Columbus Crew. Plus, Coors Light is providing a free beverage for everyone, as well as a knit beanie for everyone 21+ and a scarf for those under 21. If you make it all the way to the finish line and lift the trophy, your team will get 10 MNUFC jerseys and a $500 Coors Light prize pack!

2024 Boot Soccer Tournament presented by Coors Light Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, February 17
- Time: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Location: Allianz Field, Great Lawn
- Cost: $275 per team registration, $30 per free agent registration
- Teams must have a minimum of five people and cannot exceed a maximum of 10 people
- No team? No problem. You can also register as an individual and we will place you with other solo players to create a team of free agents.
- Games will be 25 minutes long, 5v5 format and no goalkeepers
- Guaranteed at least 2 games
- Winter boots required to participate
- No attacking or defending players allowed inside the ‘goal box’
Team Registration Includes:
- Registration for a team of 5-10 players
- A free alcoholic (21+) or non-alcoholic beverage for every player on your team
- A Coors Light knit beanie for all players 21+ or a free MNUFC scarf for players under 21
- Ten (10) tickets to the home opener vs. the Columbus Crew on March 2
- Grand prize awarded to the winning team: new 2024 MNUFC jerseys for every player on the team and a $500 Coors Light prize package
