Game Central
Minnesota United will look to build off of its season opener win in Vancouver as it travels to face the San Jose Earthquakes. The Quakes gave up an early lead in its opening game, suffering a 2-1 loss to Montreal at home. They put on a late attack, but couldn’t break through to find the equalizer. Minnesota made a good impression in game one, with a dangerous attack and solid defensive display that could pose some problems for San Jose on Saturday night. Darwin Quintero led the charge for the Loons, putting up a goal and two assists in week one, and will be the focal point once again in San Jose. Set pieces were the source of both conceded goals last week, an area the MNUFC defenders will need to clean up against a trigger-happy Quakes team.
