For his world-class performance last Wednesday against Toronto FC, midfielder Darwin Quintero has earned a spot in the Week 19 edition of the MLS Team of the Week. This is the second time Quintero has made the Team of the Week, first making the squad back in Week 7.
MNUFC vs. SAPRISSA TICKETS – JULY 11
The Colombia native ran circles around the defending MLS champions at TCF Bank Stadium on July 4, scoring Minnesota’s first hat trick in MLS. He got on the board early with an outside of the boot shot into the top corner just eight minutes into the match. Quintero then placed two mirror-image chip shots past the goalkeeper just five minutes apart in the second half to cap off his day.
