This week, Minnesota United is auctioning off match-worn Parley jerseys with proceeds benefitting the Mississippi Park Connection (MPC). The jerseys, which were worn by MNUFC in its last match against Seattle Sounders FC on Earth Day and are made from recycled ocean plastic, will not be offered for sale again, so don’t miss your chance to put in a bid on one of these smart-looking jerseys.

Parley for the Oceans and adidas collaborated on the jerseys in an effort to raise awareness of the harmful impact of marine plastic, with all 23 MLS teams participating in concert with MLS’ annual Greener Goals Week of Service last week. MNUFC partnered with MPC for a volunteer project that had players, coaches and members of the front office crafting 670 tree skirts to protect saplings along the Mississippi. MPC will also receive a portion of all sales of Surly’s Rising North — the official beer of Minnesota United — in 2018.
The Mississippi Park Connection is committed to preserving, protecting and helping people enjoy North America’s longest river as it winds its way through the Twin Cities. MPC provides opportunities for people to get down to and on the river through youth education, community engagement and environmental stewardship programs that connect people to the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area.
