For the second week in a row, Minnesota United is represented in the MLS Team of the Week. After scoring both goals for the Loons in a win over NYCFC, Angelo Rodriguez has earned a spot on the bench in the Week 31 edition of the Team of the Week.
Rodriguez notched both his goals in the first half of last weekend’s game at TCF Bank Stadium, guiding the Loons to their second consecutive win. His first was a powerful header to finish off a well-placed cross from Miguel Ibarra to the far post just 20 minutes into the game. He followed that up with great awareness to intercept a pass back to the NYCFC goalkeeper, and walk the ball in for the eventual game-winning goal. The Colombian now has three goals since joining MNUFC.
