Over the past few weeks, MNUFC has worked with great partners to help enrich the Midway and beyond. To help keep you informed, we’ve compiled a list of our favorite events.
Unified Training - Special Olympics Minnesota
On September 10, the MNUFC Unified team held a training session at the National Sports Center, ahead of their upcoming showdown with Sporting Kansas City. The team put in great work before being introduced to Jen Winterfeldt, MNUFC’s new Community Relations Director!
Fiesta Latina - CLUES and Xcel Energy
On September 14, Minnesota United and Xcel Energy partnered up to give away pre-packed dental kids at Fiesta Latina – a block-style party hosted by Comunidades Latinas Unidas en Servicio (CLUES) that focuses on celebrating Latino culture through arts, food, health and community resources, and more!
Unified Game @ Sporting KC - Special Olympics Minnesota
On September 22, the Minnesota United Unified team traveled to Kansas City to face off against Sporting KC Unified. The match had to be rescheduled due to bad weather, but that didn’t stop both teams from putting forth an intense battle that saw the Loons come out on top with a 4-2 victory!
Devin Padelford MOTM visit - Bell Bank and Animal Humane Society
On September 23, MNUFC defender Devin Padelford visited his Bell Bank Man of the Match beneficiary – the Animal Humane Society. Devin met many of the animals at the shelter and even bathed a few puppies!
MNUFC Community Day & Saint Paul Cup - Bell Bank
On October 4, MNUFC hosted its first-ever Community Day at the Saint Paul Cup! The club, its partners, and fans all came together to help enrich the Midway community, with many great events all leading up to the third-annual Saint Paul Cup, presented by Bell Bank. There was a neighborhood cleanup, activities on the Great Lawn, and a free Blue Cross Blue Shield Soccer clinic.
