Following Minnesota’s double-game week, with 2-2 draws over both LAFC and Vancouver Whitecaps, MNUFC midfielder Emanuel Reynoso has earned a spot on the Week 16 MLS Team of the Week presented by Audi.
On Wednesday, Reynoso notched his second goal of the season against LAFC, leveling the game at 1-1 just three minutes into the second half. Throughout the rest of the match, Reynoso distributed the ball majestically as the Loons took a point on the road in a 2-2 final. Against Vancouver Whitecaps, Reynoso served up his fifth assist of the season. In the 45th minute, Reynoso delivered a terrific through ball to Ethan Finlay, who controlled it with his right foot and finished it off with his left, placing it into the back of the net to draw even with Vancouver just before the half. Reynoso continued playmaking opportunities for his team and brought back another point on the road in a 2-2 final against Vancouver Whitecaps. The two assists give him five total on the season and the team lead in the category. His 47 key passes also lead the team by a wide margin — 30 ahead of Romain Metanire’s 17 for second place.
