MNUFC2 announced today that the club has signed defender Kieran Chandler to a two-year MLS NEXT Pro contract through December 2026.
“Ever since I was little, I knew I wanted to play soccer all of my life, and I know that path is in front of me,” said MNUFC2 defender Kieran Chandler. “I’m excited to continue to live out that dream here in Minnesota.”
“Kieran is a young defender with a solid amount of playing experience at a high level collegiately,” said MNUFC2 Head Coach Jeremy Hall. “His strong work ethic is infectious and his intensity to compete and grow as a player is something we are excited about as he joins our club.”
Chandler joins MNUFC2 after playing collegiately for two seasons at the University of Connecticut from 2023-24. The defender started all 18 matches for the Huskies in 2024, providing four assists in almost 1,400 minutes played and was named to the All-BIG EAST Third team for the second consecutive year, and across the past two seasons at UConn, Chandler made a total of 32 starts. At the youth level, he played for MLS NEXT club Oakwood SC.
Chandler was notably the 43rd-overall pick by Minnesota United in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft, and was also an invitee that participated in the 2024 adidas MLS College Showcase.
