Nearly a month removed from their last meeting, Minnesota United heads south to face Midwestern rivals Sporting Kansas City. Last time these two clubs met, the Loons ran rampant against Sporting KC, pumping in two goals during the opening half and holding on to a clean sheet. Since stumbling against Minnesota, SKC has gone 1-3-1 in MLS with seven goals for and against. Minnesota’s trip will not be an easy one though with Sporting KC undefeated at home this year. The Loons are still seeking that elusive first away victory, and will need to put together a complete match in a tough environment to do so. MNUFC is threatening to jump above the red line into playoff position, and can help its cause on Saturday.
