On Friday, October 4, Minnesota United is excited to announce the club’s first-ever Community Day at the Saint Paul Cup, an opportunity for the club, its partners, and fans to join together in support of the community we call home. The day will have a full schedule of festivities focused on engagement, inclusivity, and enriching the youth of the Midway community, culminating with the third-annual Saint Paul Cup, presented by Bell Bank.

The event gets kicked off with a neighborhood cleanup from 9-11 AM, where MNUFC and nVent employees will join forces with volunteers to beautify the Midway area surrounding the stadium.

Later in the afternoon, starting at 3 PM, the Great Lawn at Allianz Field will be open to the community and fans, with a host of corporate and community partners on site to offer fun activations like playtime with adoptable puppies, thanks to NutriSource and Coco’s Heart Connection, along with engaging games like Sun Country’s inflatable kick challenge. Plus, part-time DJ and full-time MNUFC mascot PK will be pumping out the tunes.

From 4:00-5:00 p.m., fans will be welcome to participate in a free MNUFC Community Soccer Clinic, presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, hosted by MNUFC Academy coaches and players. While they’re there, clinic attendees can visit booths for partners like Allina Health to find helpful resources about mental health support and adaptive sports programs.

Finally, the day will culminate with the third-annual Saint Paul Cup matches. Inspired by the Mayor’s Cup, the annual doubleheader is a soccer showcase featuring boys and girls varsity soccer teams from the Saint Paul Public School district. This year’s two showcase schools will be Harding Senior High School and Johnson Senior High School, with the boys’ matchup starting at 5:30 p.m. CT, followed by the girls’ match at 7:30 p.m. CT. Tickets for the Saint Paul Cup are free, but must be claimed in advance on SeatGeek.

With so much to offer to fans of all ages, we hope you are able to join us on Friday, October 4 for a fun-filled celebration of soccer and supporting the community we’re fortunate to call home.
