MNUFC Announces 2025 Countdown to Kickoff Schedule of Events

With the start of the 2025 MLS season quickly approaching, Minnesota United announced today the club’s Countdown to Kickoff – a schedule of events leading up to the Season Opener at LAFC on Saturday, February 22 and the Home Opener against CF Montréal, presented by Allina Health, on Saturday, March 1 at Allianz Field in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

MNUFC is set to begin its Countdown to Kickoff with the Kit Reveal, presented by Target, of the club’s newest threads on Friday, February 14. The next day on February 15, fans can gather teams to compete in the Boot Soccer tournament, presented by Coors Light, on the Great Lawn outside of Allianz Field. Fans can then attend a Watch Party at Brit’s Pub, also presented by Coors Light, for the LAFC away game on Saturday, February 22 at 3:30 p.m. CT. Capping off the Countdown to Kickoff will be the Third-Annual Bangers-Only Ball, at the iconic First Avenue music venue on Thursday, February 27, with Poliça as the headline artist with opening artist Papa Mbye.

FULL SCHEDULE OF COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF EVENTS:

Preseason Match Streaming, presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota – February 12 & 15
Fans can watch the live stream of the final two preseason contests during the Coachella Valley Invitational. The Loons first defeated Sporting Kansas City on February 9, a 6-0 victory. Next, Minnesota faces 2024 MLS Cup winners, LA Galaxy, at 1:00 p.m. CT today, Wednesday, February 12. MNUFC then takes on New York City FC for their last preseason fixture at 4:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, February 15. All matches are set to be streamed on mnufc.com/coachella-stream. Minnesota United’s preseason streaming is presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota. Fans can also watch the games live on FOX 9 +.

2025 Kit Reveal, presented by Target – February 14
MNUFC’s newest kit is set to be unveiled on Friday morning, February 14. The Black and Blue Team Store at Allianz Field will be open starting at 10:00 a.m. CT. Notably, the first 75 fans to purchase an authentic jersey at the team store (or team store pickup) will receive two tickets to the home game versus CF Montréal on March 1. In addition, with each purchase on 2/14, fans can choose a special valentine’s card from a selection of players. Proceeds from the new jersey sales in the month of February will be donated to Mississippi Park Connection.

Boot Soccer, presented by Coors Light – February 15
Allianz Field will yet again host the Boot Soccer tournament on the Great Lawn outside of the stadium from 9:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. CT. Fans interested in playing can enter as a part of a team, or as an individual person. The Grand Casino Brew Hall will be open throughout the event, where a watch party for the preseason match against NYCFC will also take place. TC Winter SOLstice Futsal Tournament – February 17
In collaboration with SOL of the Cities, the TC Winter SOLstice Futsal Tournament, sponsored by Minnesota United, takes place on Monday, February 17 at Adrenaline Sports Center in Ramsey, Minnesota. For more information and registration for the 3v3 tournament, visit HERE.

Newborn Beanies at Allina Health Birthing Centers – February 17
As Minnesota United welcomes in the new season, the team will also help celebrate the arrival of new little Loons fans. Starting on Monday, February 17, newborn babies at Allina Health birthing centers across the greater Twin Cities metro and beyond will be gifted MNUFC-themed beanie caps. Newborn babies at these hospitals will be gifted the beanies as long as supplies last: St. Francis Regional Hospital; Allina Health Faribault Medical Center; Owatonna Hospital; Buffalo Hospital; New Ulm Medical Center; The Mother Baby Center Minneapolis; The Mother; Baby Center St. Paul; The Mother Baby Center Coon Rapids.

Coffee on MNUFC at The Get Down Coffee Co. – February 18
To help get a kick start to the morning on Tuesday, February 18, fans can visit The Get Down Coffee Co. – a Black-owned coffee shop in Minneapolis – and have their coffee put on MNUFC’s tab from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. CT. Fans can also take their photo with the mascot, PK, and can grab some free swag while supplies last.

Season Opener Watch Party, presented by Coors Light, Target, and Grand Casino – February 22
The Loons travel to face LAFC at BMO Stadium on Saturday afternoon, February 22. Fans in the Twin Cities can join the Watch Party at Brit’s Pub in downtown Minneapolis, with kick set for 3:30 p.m. CT. During the watch party, fans will be treated to an in-house DJ along with an appearance from Loons’ mascot, PK, and the Allianz Field stadium public address announcer. Doors are open for the Watch Party starting at 2:00 p.m. CT. The club will have multiple watch parties throughout the season at different “Loons Watch Spots” locations, which you can find HERE.

Player Appearance at Soul Bowl – February 25
Continuing the celebration of Black History Month, MNUFC will bring a special guest to Soul Bowl on Tuesday, February 25, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. CT. Fans can meet a select player while enjoying some tasty food from a local Black-owned soul-food restaurant in Minneapolis.

Food Drive with Keystone Community Services – February 26
Fans can swing by Lot C at Allianz Field between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. CT when the club partners with Keystone Community Services for a food drive, presented by Allianz Life. Those that come are encouraged to bring donations to help MNUFC reach its goal of 301 pounds, in honor of the Home Opener on March 1 (3/1).

Bangers-Only Ball – February 27
MNUFC will host the Third-Annual Bangers-Only Ball at the iconic Minneapolis music venue, First Avenue, on Thursday, February 27 to celebrate the arrival of the Home Opener against CF Montréal. Poliça is set as the headline act of the evening, with Papa Mbye confirmed as the opening artist. Additionally, select first-team players will also make an appearance for a meet-and-greet opportunity.
