Minnesota United announced today the club has partnered with Fraser to provide sensory kits at Allianz Field for individuals and families with sensory processing differences.
“Minnesota United is thrilled to have Fraser’s support and partnership in providing our fans with sensory kits to use during matches at Allianz Field”, said Shari Ballard, CEO of MNUFC. “We are 100% committed to creating a world class experience for all fans who attend our games, and Fraser’s expertise is an important part of helping us deliver on that commitment.”
Fraser is Minnesota’s largest and most experienced provider of autism and early childhood mental health services, serving children and families with disabilities. The sensory kits include tools to use when an environment feels over- or under-stimulating. There are visual and communication tools to help individuals more actively engage in an experience, environmental modification tools to limit the intake of overwhelming stimuli and safety tools so families are supported if they get separated during an outing.
“Fraser is excited to partner with the Minnesota United. The sensory kits we have created together will make the soccer experience more accessible to fans with sensory needs,” said Gina Gibson, Sensory Supports and Training Program Manager for Fraser.
Fraser Sensory Kits will be made available, free-of-charge, for fans with sensory processing differences at guest services. These bags will be reusable and deemed as medical so that they can be brought in and utilized at each Allianz Field home game.
