Minnesota United Announce 2022 MLS Season Broadcast Schedule

Minnesota United today announced the broadcast schedule for the 2022 Major League Soccer season with club broadcast partners Bally Sports North, The CW Twin Cities and SKOR North.

Headlining the 35-game season are nine nationally televised games and 28 locally broadcast on Bally Sports North, with 24 on The CW Twin Cities. The local broadcasts will be presented by Allina Health. All games will be broadcast on MNUFC’s radio partner SKOR North.

“We are excited to continue our partnerships with Bally Sports North and The CW Twin Cities,” said MNUFC CEO Shari Ballard. “Just as they were in 2021, these partners are critical to enabling fans in our region to watch our games across multiple platforms, from digital to cable to over-the-air.”

The CW Twin Cities will locally broadcast 24 games this season, providing Loons fans with an additional place to watch the 2022 season, including the season opener at Philadelphia Union on Saturday, February 26 at 12:00 p.m. CT and the home opener against Nashville SC on Saturday, March 5 at 5:00 p.m. CT.

“Now in our second year of our partnership, we’re excited to continue to provide our community with live and local premium sports programming,” said Tom Burke, Vice President and General Manager of The CW Twin Cities. “Teaming up with our own Bally Sports North, we are able to offer our viewers the incredible passion and excitement of our local Major League Soccer Minnesota United team airing 24 games in a unique broadcast partnership. Go Loons!”

The broadcast team for Minnesota United telecasts on Bally Sports North features play-by-play announcer Callum Williams and Minnesota native Kyndra de St. Aubin as color commentator. Dan Terhaar and Jonathan Harrison will return for MNUFC Radio on SKOR North.

“We are honored by our long-standing partnership with Minnesota United FC,” said Mike Dimond, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Bally Sports North. “We look forward to another exciting season of Loons Soccer.”

“Allina Health is proud to continue its support of Minnesota United for the 2022 season. Soccer is embraced by people of all ages and backgrounds and we are thrilled to help bring the Loons’ games to more fans this season,” said Lisa Shannon, president and CEO of Allina Health. “Allina Health is committed to enhancing the greater health of the communities we serve and through our partnership with Minnesota United, we are able to deepen our connection to community through the game of soccer. As the official team physicians for MNUFC, we look forward to helping the Loons stay in peak condition for another exciting season.”

The regional sports network’s lineup includes 15 home matches from Allianz Field and 13 on the road this season. Bally Sports North will deliver a total of 17 matches, including the club’s International Friendly against SC Paderhorn, and Bally Sports North EXTRA (formerly Bally Sports North PLUS) will offer 11 matches. Broadcasts will stream on the Bally Sports app. Most matches will also simulcast on Bally Sports Wisconsin, extending the team’s reach across the Upper Midwest.

All MLS matches will include Loons Live, a 30-minute pre-game show, presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, and a postgame show, presented by Captain Morgan. Both will stream on the Bally Sports app.
