Minnesota United makes its first trip to the nation’s capitol for a midweek matchup this Wednesday. Since opening Audi Field this summer, D.C. United has enjoyed long stretches at home and won four out of the last five in its new stadium. Minnesota has spent two weeks off from MLS play, using that time to get players healthy as it seeks its first away win since March. The Loons will be without the defensive duo of Michael Boxall and Francisco Calvo due to suspensions, and will look to depth players to fill those gaps on either side of Brent Kallman. Historically, the Loons have played well against Eastern Conference teams and will hope to continue that form to build momentum for the final eight games of the season.
