Minnesota United and its fellow MLS teams enter the Fourth Round of the 2018 U.S. Open Cup this week. The Loons were drawn to face USL side FC Cincinnati in a road match, with the winner moving on to face Columbus Crew SC or Chicago Fire. Cincinnati was recently welcomed into the fold of MLS, as the league announced last week the city would be getting a franchise that will begin play in 2019. The current club has been playing well in a tough Eastern Conference, and finds itself at the top of the table. MNUFC on the other hand is coming off a tough road loss to conference-leading Sporting Kansas City, and will be looking to get competitive minutes for its players before the World Cup break.
