Minnesota United kept its unbeaten streak alive with a clean-sheet draw against Vancouver Whitecaps FC over the weekend. Goalkeeper Vito Mannone played a crucial role in the result and earned a spot on the MLS Team of the Week for Week 21 of the season.
Mannone kept his seventh clean sheet of the season against Whitecaps FC, tying Bobby Shuttleworth’s club career record. The goalkeeper made five saves, including an acrobatic diving stop in the second half to deny a blast from Yordy Reyna. This is his third appearance on the Team of the Week, and second time on the squad’s bench.
