Game Central
MNUFC2 is back in Minnesota this Sunday, July 2, to play Timbers2 at the National Sports Center in Blaine. In their most recent game, MNUFC2 held St. Louis CITY2 to a scoreless draw in regulation but walked away with just a single point after falling 4-3 in the penalty shootout. In their first meeting against Portland this season, Kameron Lacey bagged a brace to open his scoring account for the Twosies, though it proved to not be enough that day as the Twosies fell to the Timbers. However, MNUFC2 has proven capable of taking down the team from the PNW, with their two other meetings ending in scorelines of 2-4 and 3-1, both favoring Minnesota. With four of their five games in July at home, the Twosies have the unique opportunity to have home field advantage for nearly a whole month. In order to make sure they take full advantage of this, MNUFC2 will need to use the extra time not spent traveling to take care of themselves and prepare to close out the second half of their season strong to make a push for the playoffs.
