Next up, the Loons look for three points at Allianz Field against Western Conference newcomers, St. Louis CITY SC. The last (and only) time the two teams met, MNUFC took home all three points from CITYPARK and ended St. Louis' streak of five wins in their first five MLS games. Now, Minnesota is down to their final five games, and a repeat performance would go a long way toward securing a postseason berth. CITY has had an amazing first season and is currently sitting in first place in the Western Conference with 49 points. Both sides are coming to the Midway after midweek games against LA teams, with neither side emerging victorious and both now on the hunt for valuable end-of-season points. In order for the Loons to repeat their success against St. Louis earlier this year and successfully sweep them in the 2023 regular season, MNUFC will need to tighten up defensively while continuing to be productive up top. In-Game Honors
The pregame ceremony will include a national anthem performance by Cyrenna Denniston, as well as recognition of Jesus Camacho-Ruiz as our SeatGeek Fan of the Game and Marie Lecuyer as the Allina Health Honorary Scoreboard Keeper for the game. Liam Obenhoffer will also be joining us for our Gillette Game Ball Delivery. At halftime, the club will honor the Latino Economic Development Center as the L'Etoile du Nord. Additionally, Staff Sergeant Myriam Pierre will be honored as the Xcel Energy Eye of the Loon.
