The Loons kick off their Leagues Cup run this Sunday at Allianz Field against Puebla FC. In their most recent match, the Loons battled it out with the reigning MLS Cup champions, LAFC. In the meantime, the Loons look to take down Club Puebla of Liga MX and former Western Conference foes, Chicago Fire FC, in the opening round of Leagues Cup. For their first match against the Liga MX side, it will be crucial for Minnesota to shut down players like Guillermo MartÃnez, who have proven themselves capable of scoring multiple goals in a single game. Both sides are coming in with something to prove and plenty to play for, with the title of North American Champion and a 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup qualification on the line.
