A brace from Teemu Pukki and a late winner from Bongokuhle Hlongwane in his 2024 debut gave the Loons a hard fought three points on the road last weekend, but now they turn their attention back to Allianz Field and their next opponent, LAFC. So far this season, LA has secured a record of 1-1-1, giving them four points in three games. The Black and Gold is currently struggling to score with zero goals score in their last two games, leading to a 3-0 loss on the road to Salt Lake and a 0-0 draw at home. The Black and Blue on the other hand, still remains undefeated with a record of 2-0-1 and goals aplenty. LAFC is far from a team to stay down for long though, and the Loons will need to continue to lock in and learn from goals they gave up last week in Orlando to make sure they come out on top this Saturday. Make sure to stop by Nice Slice in sections 12 and 29 to try our Crispy Reuben Poppers! Deep-fried until perfectly golden and served with thousand island sauce, these snacks are something you don't want to miss out on. They will only be available for our upcoming games against LAFC and St. Patrick's Athletic F.C. so make sure you get one before they're gone! Additionally, in celebration of St. Patrick's day, there will also be green beer available for fans 21+ at various concession stands this weekend.
In-Game Honors
The pregame ceremony will include a national anthem performance by Tim Takach, as well as recognition of Jamie Roux as our SeatGeek Fan of the Game and Zuly Duarte as the Allina Health Honorary Scoreboard Keeper for the game. At halftime, the club will honor Melanie Walby as the L'Étoile du Nord and Joe Grady as the Xcel Energy Eye of the Loon.
