Though the Wonderwall didn't get to sing their favorite song last Saturday, the Loons didn't leave empty-handed. Thanks to another late goal from Tani Oluwaseyi (following some very fancy footwork from Robin Lod to provide the assist), MNUFC still hasn't lost a home match in 2024. Both Salt Lake and the Loons left with a point on the scoreboard and a point in their pockets. For their next challenge, the Loons will be back in the Midway to take on the Houston Dynamo. Houston has had a decent start to the year with three wins, one draw, and two losses to their name. A single point separates Minnesota and Houston in the table, with the two sitting in fourth and sixth place, respectively. Minnesota hasn't lost in their last nine meetings against this Texan team, but they will need to come out hot to extend that streak to ten this weekend. In-Game Honors
The pregame ceremony will include a performance of Life Every Voice and Sing by the Walker West Kamoinge Strings, followed by a national anthem performance by Chelsea Phillip of the Walker West Academy. George Surratt will also be recognized as our SeatGeek Fan of the Game and Cindy Andrade will be honored as the Allina Health Honorary Scoreboard Keeper for the game. Additionally, there will be an honorary coin toss with Tamba Johnson. At halftime, the club will honor Odell Wilson from the Nonviolent Peaceforce as the L'Étoile du Nord and Tyree Stevens as the Xcel Energy Eye of the Loon.
