Kick Childhood Cancer Game Presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota
Despite a shaky start in their most recent match, the Loons bounced back in a big way. St. Louis CITY snuck one past Dayne St. Clair in the opening minutes, but the Boys in Black and Blue found an equalizer—courtesy of Bongokuhle Hlongwane—just 19 minutes later. From there, Bongi and new Loon Kelvin Yeboah took off, powering MNUFC to a convincing 3-1 victory. Next up, the Loons make their way back to the Midway to face off against F.C. Cincinnati. Lately, the Lions have had a mixed set of results, with a win, a loss, and a draw since returning to MLS play. Most recently, their 0-0 draw in the Hell is Real Derby delivered less drama than we've come to expect from the fixture. Both teams will be coming into this midweek match with plenty of postseason motivation. The Loons currently sit in 9th place in the West, the final spot that would secure them a place in the Wild Card game against the 8th seed. Meanwhile, Cincinnati sits comfortably in 2nd place in the East. However, if they want to become back-to-back Supporters' Shield winners, they will need to take home as many points as possible in their remaining games. To catch all of the action in person and see which side comes out on top, purchase your ticket now at SeatGeek.com. Can't come to Allianz Field? No problem; there are plenty of ways to watch. Join your fellow faithful fans at a Loons Watch Spot for food, drinks, and a fun football experience, stream the game with Apple TV's MLS Season Pass, or listen in on 1500 ESPN.
