For their first 2024 Leagues Cup match, the Loons took on a tough Seattle team at Lumen Field. Both sides saw many chances in the first half, but the game remained scoreless after the first 45. Tani Oluwaseyi, Bongokuhle Hlongwane, and Joseph Rosales all saw some good opportunities up top but had no luck when it came to finishing them. Goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair stood on his head to keep Seattle off the board, but the hosts were able to sneak one past him with only three minutes left in regulation before a final dagger four minutes into extra time put the game to bed. Now, the Loons look to secure a spot in the next round of Leagues Cup play against Liga MX side, Club Necaxa. Necaxa comes to Minnesota after a mixed start to their 2024 Apertura season, with a record of 1-2-1 so far. Their record doesn't tell the full tale though, as their only two losses came from top teams Tigres and Monterrey in a pair of tight 1-0 games. This is going to be a tough match for both teams, and with their Leagues Cup hopes on the line, the Loons need to be ready for a fight. Ecolab Water Stations
MNUFC in partnership with Ecolab has installed six new water bottle refill stations to existing water fountain locations around the concourse at Allianz Field. Fans can find these located in sections 9, 15, 21, 25, 30, and 36. This is part of a larger stadium-wide water sustainability effort with Ecolab. Fans can bring in empty, clear plastic bottles to use with the water stations. The stations are not sensor activated and fans will need to press the button located in the lower right corner of the station to fill their water bottles.

To better ensure fan safety and expedite entry to the stadium, Allianz Field has a clear bag policy that limits the size and type of bags that can be brought into the stadium.
