Minnesota United announced today that the club’s game at the New England Revolution on Sunday, June 19 will now kickoff at 4:00 p.m. CT. The game was originally scheduled to kickoff at 7:00 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast locally on the Bally Sports North App, The CW Twin Cities and 1500 ESPN.Â
The game will commemorate the Juneteenth holiday. Both clubs will wear Juneteenth-inspired numbers and warm-up tops as part of a league-wide recognition in partnership with Black Players for Change (BPC). The special edition jerseys will be auctioned with the proceeds benefiting Voices for Racial Justice, a movement organization of leaders, organizers and culture workers who envision a world without racism honoring the culture, knowledge, power, and healing of Black, Indigenous, and communities of color. They are committed to building power through collective cultural & healing strategies for racial justice across Minnesota using organizing, leadership training, community policy & research.
MNUFC will be on the road for the remaining weeks of June as its following match will take place on Saturday, June 25 against Inter Miami with kickoff slated for 7 p.m. CT. The Loons will close out the month as they make the cross-country trip to Los Angeles to face the Galaxy on Wednesday, June 29 for a 9:30 p.m. CT kickoff.
