Sunday's 1-2 road victory in Dallas was one for the record books, as MNUFC secured its first ever win at Toyota Stadium. In addition, Robin Lod became the highest scoring Loon in the club’s MLS regular season history. And, in addition to that, DJ Taylor scored his first MLS goal. With two historic goals and three points secured, the Loons once again set their sights on their Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 matchup with 2021 USL League One champs, Union Omaha at Allianz Field this Wednesday. In this first-ever matchup between the clubs, the feathered foes will face-off for the chance to move onto the U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals. Coming off a hard fought victory, the Loons will need to push through another busy week if they hope to secure a spot in the next round.
Due to this match being part of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, please note these minor changes to your normal gameday experience at Allianz Field:
- Gates will be opening at 6:00 p.m. CT.
- There will be a limited number of concession stands open.
- Lot C, Midpoint, Health East and Herbergers will operate as the only paid public lots for this event and will open at 5:30 p.m. CT.
