The 2022 MLS season is finally here! To kick off their sixth campaign as an MLS team, Minnesota United will take on the Philadelphia Union this Saturday, February 26 at 12:00 p.m. CT. In their fourth and most recent meeting last October, Minnesota United earned their first win over the Union in an exciting and hard-fought game that ended with a 3-2 scoreline at Allianz Field. This time around, the Loons will not have the home-field advantage, but will need to play as though they are right in front of the Wonderwall if they are going to earn a second win over The City of Brotherly Love. While not crucial to a successful season, it goes without saying that starting off with a win provides invaluable positive momentum that every team will be on the hunt for during opening week. To make sure the Loons secure the first three points up for grabs, the team will need to come out confident and remember the lessons they learned the last time they faced Philly.
