Minnesota United’s Development Academy U15s traveled to face St. Louis FC this past weekend in a game that kicked off early on Saturday morning. And the Pre-Development Academy participated in the LA Galaxy Cup, winning their group and defeating the hosts in the finals to capture the trophy.

The game was a back and forth affair, with each team getting off quality chances in the run of play. St. Louis’ Anis Smajlovic struck first in the 10th minute, but Minnesota United’s Perry Blay answered back almost immediately in the 11th to knot the game at 1-1. Diego Fuentes would give Minnesota the lead for the first time in the 51st minute, and that lead would be doubled seven minutes later by Carlos Leatherman. But St. Louis would come roaring back later in the second half with Osvaldo Angel pulling the home side within one in the 67th minute and then notching his brace in the 75th minute to give each team a point in a 3-3 draw.
