1. My daily routine is …
“Wake up. Usually get into the facility pretty early. Try to get breakfast here. I like to journal in the morning a little bit. Just kind of self-reflect.”
2. Something that can instantly make my day better is …
“Maybe some chocolate. I eat a lot of dark chocolate. That’s kind of my go-to these days.”
3. The best piece of life advice I have ever received is …
“I think probably just take a step back and enjoy what you have. The grass isn’t always greener somewhere else, you know? It’s easy to look somewhere else and think someone else has it really good. You don’t really know for sure. Everyone has their struggles.”
4. My hero is …
“I don’t think I really have one hero, I’d say. I probably look up to my dad a lot.”
5. My favorite family tradition is …
“Every Christmas Eve, we always get one present and it’s always pajamas and a book. And it’s always my family’s thing. Every year.”
6. My go-to music I listen to while I’m driving is …
“Probably house or EDM. That type of vibes. Upbeat before training to get me going and wake me up. And after training, more chill. Odessa. Those types of music.”
7. I fell in love with soccer because …
“I think it was always just a release from everything else. It was a time that you could kind of let go. In high school or whatnot, you have school and course loads, exams, that kind of thing and you have to go to training and just kind of let it all go. And it’s something to look forward to, growing up, at the end of the day. Growing up, I used it as a release and kind of started creating more of a passion for it.”
8. On if I’m more extroverted or introverted …
“Probably an extrovert, people would say. But I think I like my me time as well.”
9. My favorite way to spend an off day is …
“Sleep in. Brunch. Preferably out, but, if not, I’ll settle for an at home brunch. Slow morning. Coffee. Read my book. Video games. Maybe hang out with some buddies. Maybe go out for dinner. Pretty low key for the most part. Slow morning is a big one for me. I like to chill in the morning.”
10. I’m proud of myself because …
“One thing that’s pretty cool is that I was a three time Academic All-American. Which is pretty cool. And my senior year I was also First Team All-American. Not academic, which is cool as well. Because I’ve always taken school seriously, so, to have that with my athletic achievement reflected in one award was neat for sure.”
