Minnesota United has announced its 2020 preseason schedule as the club looks to build on the success of 2019 in its fourth season in Major League Soccer and second season in Allianz Field.
The Loons will kick off the 2020 MLS preseason in Minnesota, training at the National Sports Center (NSC) in Blaine for a week before heading to Orlando, Florida, where they will compete in a number of friendly matches at Orlando Health Stadium at Eastern Florida State College. Dates and opponents will be announced at a later date. Players are set to report to camp on Monday, January 20 with the first media availability coming on January 21.
Following the club’s preseason stint in Orlando, Minnesota United will return home briefly before heading out west to Portland where they will compete in the seventh-annual preseason tournament at Providence Park and face Portland Timbers, Vancouver Whitecaps and New England Revolution. The preseason tournament will consist of three doubleheaders at Providence Park.
- Sunday, February 16 vs. New England Revolution, 4:30 p.m. CT
- Wednesday, February 19 vs. Portland Timbers, 9:30 p.m. CT
- Saturday, February 22 vs. Vancouver Whitecaps, 4:30 p.m. CT
Minnesota United will start the 2020 regular season in Portland on Sunday, March 1 at 6:30 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on FS1.
