Amos Magee
Biography
Previously the Director of Player Personnel, Amos Magee was named Vice President of the MNUFC Youth Development in October of 2022 and the Head of Development & Player Pathway in June of 2024. He manages the coaching staff, oversees the Academy and helps to develop the infrastructure of the Pro Player Pathway — a path for players to move from youth soccer to the Academy, MNUFC2, and the first team.
Magee played high school soccer at Saint Paul Academy, college soccer at Wesleyan University, and spent most of his professional career with the Minnesota Thunder. He retired as a player in 2004 and returned to the Thunder from 2006-08 as the club’s Head Coach. In 2009, Magee was named Director of Soccer Development for the USL Portland Timbers FC. In 2011, he helped oversee the Timbers’ move to MLS as a part of the first team coaching staff and head coach of the reserve team. Magee joined D.C. United in 2014, where he was a first-team assistant coach and coach of the club’s U23 side, before joining Minnesota United in 2016.
